About the site

As part of our ongoing blow wells project to protect the rare Crystal Moss Animal we’ll be improving the habitat of Barrow Blow Wells.

This is managed by our partners at the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust as one of their reserves. It’s a beautiful site (although can be a bit boggy!) with a stunning example of one of Lincolnshire’s rare blow wells.

Unfortunately there is now the invasive species Himalayan balsam that needs controlling. We’ll be pulling it by hand, bagging it up and taking it off site to be deposed of.
