About the site

Hello!

We’ll be meeting at 10am at the Far Ings Visitor Centre and working in the Education Centre room inside.

We’ll be making some algae like mesh traps that will sit across the outflow of the blow well to try and catch some of the crystal moss animals statoblasts (seed like propagules).

Also we have some debris samples that we need to look through to see if we can find any statoblasts. To do this we’ll be using microscopes and hand lenses.

There’s quite a lot to do hence the approximate 4pm finish but obviously any time you can give us is appreciated, and feel free to leave whenever you like!
